The Year In Review

As we close out 2012 and look forward to 2013, I thought this would be a great time revisit the year in review with my favorite photos of 2012. I haven’t begun to process all of the photos I took this year, but there are some favorites that I have created that I really liked. I hope you agree and enjoy some of my favorites of the year. The year started out with the nesting Great Blue Herons at Viera Wetlands.

The highlight of the year was my visits to the Least Tern colony. I was fortunate to witness and capture some fantastic moments there. The first two images were highly honored in the Denver Audubon Society photo contest this year.

The Black Skimmer colony is always a great shoot. Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Debbie wiped out this colony just 10 days after I captured this image.

I was happy to find the Burrowing Owls had returned this year.

Faith and I made our first visit to the Oregon Coast in June. We liked it so much that we are planning on returning.

I even made my first attempt at shooting star trails while in Oregon. I have some obvious adjustments to make for next time!

One of my favorite subjects to shoot is the rising or setting sun. This past year offered many wonderful opportunities.

Looking back, I am very happy with the opportunities I had in 2012. I hope that 2013 will be just as productive. Thanks for all your kind comments and support during the year. I hope I have given back as much as you have given. If you have a favorite, add a comment and tell me why.
